That paint job is excellent on the bunk beds, and really makes the detail pop. I was worried that the blankets would hide too much of that awesome wood work, but you did it in a way that really highlights the detail. Great job!

I've been wanting to construct a few bunk beds. When I was a wee lad, my parents, two sisters, brother and myself lived in a two bedroom flat. the bunk beds brought back those memories. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

These look really nice, I'll have to make some of my own. Why did you ends up using for the blankets? I used my mini hot glue gun to make some straw texture on a sheet of parchment paper. When it cooled, I peeled it off the parchment paper and cut out some mattress sized pieces. I then partially wrapped them in PVA (white) glue soaked paper towel and let dry. Then I just dry brushed them.

Wow they look great! Using masking tape is a very clever idea. I have to try it sometime. I also really like the chisel work you did there, gives it a nice detail.

(Probably from furniture village, as I wouldn't trust Bensons for Beds more then your stereotypical gap-toothed-gold-plated-smile merchant) This just in.... I made some really cool mattresses from stripped foamcore. Truth be told it was and accident but they came out looking very well used and lumpy. Lolol
