Be sure that you are always left with 1/2" squares on the edges that you place the walls over, leaving only full squares, otherwise you have half squares against the walls. This will maintain the modularity when placing new tiles. You will still get 1/2 squares left over if you don't place any walls down and back onto another wall.
Spraying over the grid is a great idea. You could paint loosely over a few lines just to add some visual appeal.

Ok, using theDMG's 3x3 suggestion, this is something I threw together this morning! Still unpainted, got a sick kid at home today.

That looks fantastic, but that offset doorway makes a compact dungeon difficult as you would be left with 5' gaps. However for a standard sprawling dungeon it works perfectly fine.

I went back and watched your vid again DMG, and noted where doors should go. So yesterday, started cutting out my base shapes. Will attach walls another day then paint per your advanced technique video as well! Hope it comes out!

Thanks. Another gent stated he has done it as well, on TMP, so great minds think alike. All I care is that it may help someone make better models, improve their gaming experience (as well as their players), and maybe it will make someone smile. It's cheap, it's easy, and it makes the end product much more durable -- I love making stuff that will last, as well as survive rough treatment, as I hope to haul stuff to conventions, eventually, and that is rough and tough on stuff. [ Viewers be advised: Bad poetry not intended -- it just sort of happened... ] Cheers!
