Whoa !
Real life suks, lol
Been a bit since I post last, sry friends, new job...real life crappolla, da, da, da...you've heard it before
Just thought I'd throw some things up, maybe stir it up a tad, mayhaps motivate...who knows
Special thx goes out to Beetlewing...one of the most creative friends I've ever had, thx bro
"More fun with curlers"...ouchies
Inspiration for me, found here
Decided to take that plan and run with it
Modeled after this part in "Smaug's Badassness" lol
Yes the door opens, therefore the cage can be the object of a quest..."you must save the princess", lol place a mini inside, and hang it over the edge of a slimy acid doom filled pool of acid doomy badness
Oh yeah...this guy pushed on the wrong wall looking for a secret door...
and this crystal golem has a spider dude friend, careful adventurers
Sorry pic quality is poopyness, I will endeavor to learn my new phone camera options soon lol

thx everyone
If anyone is interested, I did think to take some shots while in the build process, and it was pretty easily accomplished
First get you some Dollar store curlers, then with snips cut a few into pieces like this
So just to be clear, what I'm doing here, is cutting the curler to the shape on the right with two rows of bittie rectangles, then I'm cutting off the outside pieces
Next grab 2 of your 1 inch woodsies and glue one to each, as shown in the middle above
Now rotate the two woodsies together, but allow for one curler section in the middle like here
Alternate the gluing of the curlers from woodsy to woodsy for that staggered look
When you get to the last piece it should look something like this
Now if you want a door, drilling must be done, this was the most difficult part od the build
I found this part was easier after I marked exactly where I wanted the hole to go, notice black marks on the ends of the curler
Then after the drilling was done, I needle and threaded the joints, but found later that the needle I used was perfect for the hinge
and that's pretty much it, some little arrows that "DMScotty talks about in his tutorial for arrow quivers" glued on the outside, heart pieces broken off of course
A couple of "U" s cut out from some woodsies glued to the top, woodsy glued to the bottom, and some paint
The stand I made from some dowell rods I had, the skull I got from Michael's before Halloween, came in a bag of like ten or something, Black paint, then sponge painted grey over the black, Lots of weight in the base, I used washers, and an old packaging for a model dinosaur DMScotty unwittingly talked me into getting after watching another of his videos Here
Oh yeah also got the chain thingie at Michael's in their steampunk collection

Amazing. Love how you took the curler cages to a whole new level! This!!! Very well done, makes them look even more wicked. I may have to find out if there are any curlers that are small enough to use with my 15mm figures.

I may have to find out if there are any curlers that are small enough to use with my 15mm figures. If not, you could roll up some of that white plastic grid old ladies use for needlepoint or whatever... if the holes are too small, cut out every other horizontal row of plastic.
