Hey people,
Since i got much more time on my end, i decided to stat a new group on saturday morning. actually my main group plays on friday night from 7pm to 11:30pm and since 2 of the players comes from a certain distance. they were willing to play more and as such once the store closes, i get home with them, my home and we play from midnight to about 8am in the morning on the saturday.
some explanation, they are just two players and their adventure is as pirates on the high seas.
we decided to try a few things. comes out of our confort zones. so we played characters and classes we're not used to play and basically min maxed them a bit.
since only 2 players, we decided to play the gestalt type charcaters. whats a gestalt you're gonna ask ? good question, its basically a charcater that each level takes 2 classes instead of one and fuse them together.
the charcater takes the better stats of both classes if they have stats that overlap like hit dices and base saves. he doesn't add them up. he choose the better ones.
and everything else that do not overlap is simply added as is. so it makes charcaters not 2 times strong, but about 1.5 times stronger. but it also has the ability to make lots more choices. ever wanted to play a fighter 20 / barbarian 20 class and make them uber basher. well with gestalt you can. and no it doesn'T count as a level 40 charcter, thats still a level 20 charcater. so each level you get to choose 2 classes and add them up. you have to try that its well worth it.
so whats saturday madness, basically we've been playing d&D from 7pm to 8 am, thats almost 12 hours of dungeons and dragons in two different games. we're kinda not always clean mentally during that morning. so weird things tends to happens. this is what this section is all about. this was the second session. and this hapenned...
there is nothing more to add to it. thats for some madness between DM and player.
Next week, Variance is a bitch, how can a DM roll 30+ critical and Fumbles in a single 5 hours session.
i swear im gonna burn my dices slowly on camera just for you one day.
