If you live in the states today is mid term election day. Thankfully no more damned political ads for a while. The upside is there will be a glut of political signs in every neighborhood from coast to coast. A lot of these signs are made of a corrugated plastic and a lot of paper ones as well. All those signs will need to be disposed of in the following days. Just ask someone before you start taking up signs. So get out there and gather up some free material for your next crafting project.

Unfortunately, all of the signs near me are the plastic bag over cheap wire type. The wire's nigh impossible to work with as it's extremely easy to, well, crack, and a pain to cut or bend without a lot of heat.

I might head to a mountain highway I know of where political signs tend to be ignored for months and just grab some. People will thank me I think.

As a major side note about this, check your local laws about it first, a lot of times they have until the end of the following week to remove them, and then they become fair game on public land. If the signs are on private property, get permission from the owner first.
The signs are only useful if you don't end up with a theft case against you...
