These may not be new to some of you but I found them and think that they have some significant uses. Basically it is 1/4 inch thick foam sheets. They are about the thickness of a sheet of poster board or 2 ply corrugated cardboard. Like foam board after the paper is peeled off you can use a pen to dent in details; brick paterns, and so on. It is easy to cut and works with most glue. Michael's sells it for 99 cents in 8 by 11 sheets. I am cheap so I might not use this stuff often even at 99 cents free sounds better to me however I can see the uses. Profile (side view) Uses for game crafting 1-Need 2.5d walls these can be cut into 1/4 inch thick walls just like normal cardboard however there is no corrugation to hide. Further you can use a pen to dig in a brick pattern so your walls can have that extra touch. 2-Need a brick building. No problem. Glue this on the outside of a shoe box or make your own box out of it and whip out your pen and draw your brick pattern. Bam. 3-All sorts of set pieces that just etching a pattern in with a pen require, fancy doors, sarcophagus topper, summoning circle and so on and so on. 4-Really it can be used for anything you use cardboard for though it is does have some flex. So you could make curved walls just by flexing rather than cutting them in the desired shape.

Noticed poster sized sheets at Dollar Tree when I went looking for spiders recently, and I've been contemplating using it to try a Japanese Castle and filling the base with expanding foam to make it solid before building from there

Nice... all kinds of foam board at home supply stores. May be cheaper in the long run.
