Yes, your heard right...DM Scotty shows you how to make a super cheap and easy Purple Worm model for your D&D table.

Now this video really amazed me and converted me over to the possibilities of building good looking terrain from basic and cheap materials. When the video started and Scotty showed how he was going to fit three toilet roll tubes together to make the worm my first thought was, 'That's never going to work...' BUT to my total amazement Scotty went on to produce an outstanding model.

I appreciate the compliment. I think most people are amazed when they see what you can make out of junk.

You get to a point where you look at something before throwing it away and think "what can I make out of that?"
Doing something on teh cheap is always a good thing. Re-purposing something instead of throwing it in a land fill is also a bonus.

Re-purposing something instead of throwing it in a land fill is also a bonus. Besides spending some great time while happily crafting away and getting out some great terrain pieces and monsters (i.e. the creative part of the hobby), what you describe is one of my main motivations: repurposing stuff that would otherwise go to the landfill.

Yeah I am not a super environmentalist. I just don't want to have the world be a trash heap when my daughter is my age.
I don't have curbside recycling at my place so I throw stuff in garbage bags and put them in my shed. When I get sick of looking at it I run them to the scrap yard or out to the public drop off sites. Sometimes comes in handy for crafting. *looks at cap from salad dressing jar* "I know I have a few of them in the shed!"
And the other thing is turning garbage into something cool looking. "You made that out of what?"

I would love to see more monsters made this way. I'm way to broke to buy minis. >_>

Challenge to @aj (since he's the monster maker): Show how you can make monsters out of trash.
