Wow! That is horrible! Which in this case is a grand compliment for you. Did your players want to wash their minis off after going through those tiles?

Awegusting! how did you make the texture of the sewage? Maybe it's actual sewage. Some peopleare sticklers for realism!

Wow...that looks, er...authentic. Great evocative work. I can almost smell it. How did your players react?

Wow! I agree with all of the above, those pieces are great!
Which paint did you use for the metallic parts?

tauster, I used TP with watered down white glue, then filled in any substantial gaps with hot glue. daveb, after as may dips as they took in the mess, they very well should have! Cyan Wisp, they were pretty grossed out, but the worst part was that they kept failing their checks and falling into the mess! dungeonmistress, those were a pile of trash sacks that I had crafted out of air-dry clay that I was using for a prop. I forgot that I even left them on the tile for the picture, lol. Looks nasty. lebaron, Folk Art's metallic gunmetal, that I believe Scotty has used in several of his videos. Thanks for all the comments everyone The tiles were a lot of fun to make, and even more fun in play!

Looks great!
Since these are modular, did you already have a specific layout in mind or did you wing it based on where the players wanted to go?

Good question, beetlewing. This set consisted of 8 separate tiles counting the sewer pipes, not shown in any particular order or even connected in the pictures. Although it does have modular capability, this particular session had one clear path along with a few secrets to discover. During crafting, I actually backtracked and closed off some of the potential movement options in order to streamline the session (which we still didn't finish in one setting). Although most people don't like to run on rails, I sometimes like to have it appear that the players have freedom of choice, even when I need them to end at my desired destination.

That is a realistic looking sewer...I absolutely love it. I think the nasty water effect is my favorite aspect. .it sells it.

LOL, I don't know if this qualifies as compliment or criticism, but I dunno if I'd have much off an appetite playing in that mess!

LOL, I don't know if this qualifies as compliment or criticism, but I dunno if I'd have much off an appetite playing in that mess! It might be the way forward for thinner, healthier gamers. Bring on the sewers, the dumps, the maggots, the egg sacs, the giant intestines and the giant turd piles. Those Doritos will sit unmolested in their bowl for the duration of the game.
