I lobbed the head off of a pair of velociraptor plastic dinos to use as a dragon's head for a chimera I'm kitbashing. I also used the heads off of a couple of gazelles...
I'm thinking of using the bodies and some wire and some beads and hot glue... and bam! Some Eldritch horrors.
Or I can use the gazelle bodies for corpse markers... not sure yet.

Here a classic D&D giant, the ettin. It started as a Gormiti toy (Dedalus) I cut the limbs and the head off and beefed the body with Andrea Sculpt. I changed the hands, sculpt over the feet to make some pointy boots and add a couple of Warhammer ogre heads I got on e-bay ages ago. Then I glued back the limbs, modified with some more putty to show the muscles and add some fur and straps. After a day or so I add some more details with green stuff and various bits. The... diaper, some shields as an armor, trophies and a second weapon. The flat round buckles on the belt are cutted sprues. It took me 2 days to paint this bastard, I made the skin 3 times, and in the end I'm not happy with it, but I'm tired to try. The toy plastic is impossible to paint, only after 5 layers of paint I finally manage to finish the boots. I was wondering if I can add some tattoes on the back, but I'm afraid to make a mess. Beautiful man!
Concerning the problem with painting... Did you strip with acetone, wash with hot soapy water, or just paint it? Did you prime it first? Cuz I've never heard of any having problems painting Gormiti figures.

Maybe it's because is a gold Gormiti and the plastic is different, or the paint I use is cheap. Probably the second.

Did you use a spray primer or did you prime it by hand?

By hand.

That might have made a difference. From what I have noticed, spray primers seem to "coat" the project more thoroughly with much less bulk. Not sure why, but the paint seems to go better over spray primer most of the time.

The silver parts are from a megablocks character sprue, the barrel is a spray battle cap, the bolts are from a cutted warhammer sprue, a couple of warhammer bits here and there, the wheels are buttons.

Thanks to halloween I have a coule of project for the following weeks: giant bugs and bat rider. I start with the second, here a test piece. Warhammer old wolf head, cheap bat toy and a lot of milliput. My biggest problem are the rider, I have some moria goblin around and they are a good fit, but I also have some warhammer goblin parts to use. So, Lord of the rings or Warhammer?

And I like the WFB more than the Moria gob.
