Totally awesome piece. Do you cut the blocks yourself, or do you have a source? I use similar blocks, but I cut them myself and it is tedious. Those look very porous. Do they take paint well? Why thank you very much Sam
The blocks are project blocks from Michael's craft store, although I find myself making them often as well, depends on the fitment
The blocks are very porous, but if you thin down your paint a tad with water, it's not so bad painting them, most of the time I use a sponge so the painting goes quicker

Love the versatility of it! Very evocative piece, makes me want to dig out my Conan figures and take a trip to Hyboria :-)) Way cool.

This is so cool!!! Really great use of materials, and a darn fine paint job to boot. The first pictures reminded me of an objective room from Warhammer Quest. This is most definitely a complement, as I love Warhammer Quest.
