Here's a little gift for whoever needs it... it's a pdf I slapped together, containing several items you can print out and use. Link: Books and PapersIncluded in the pdf: - Pages/Scrolls/Documents (some with illustrations!) - Sheet Music (for the bards?) - Playing/Fortune/Tarot cards - 3 Maps - Book covers (some unique, some as sets) Previews of some of the included parts: (sorry, phone pics) Enjoy! Also open to suggestions on other things to include.

That is a very useful file. I know a lot of people on this site (myself included) that will really appreciate you for putting this together. Thanks.
That table is awesome.. btw.

Thanks Jason!
And just noticed... I opened the pdf on my ipad and the colors are WAY off. If all or most of the book covers look black to you, try opening the file on a desktop or laptop. Printing directly from my ipad also produced a smaller print.

Brilliant! I love how you use the craft stick to create a 3-D book! Wow! Thanks for sharing. Not sure how much use I will get out of it, but it is still an amazing technique. The rounded end of the craft stick will work superbly as a headstone, as well. Outstanding creativity... Just amazing. Cheers!
PS:
This technique could be adapted to create symbols/runes and text to be applied to tombstones, doors (moon glyphs, a la' Tolkien?), etc. One could even create a graphic of a mouth, on paper, cut it out, and glue it to a column, or wall section, to represent a Magic Mouth spell, without making it huge, or having to sculpt it out of clay (sorry, DM Scotty, but my sculpting skills are grade-school, at best!)

I use popsicle sticks for my books too Yeah, turns out that idea wasn't as original as I first thought, lol My favorite parts of the file though are the cards and the sheets of paper. I downloaded a runic font and did the text layout on the pages, and the first 2 book covers actually say "dmscotty" as the book title in said font, haha

I do use numerous things inside the books though depending what I have onhand or whether it will be in the bookshelf or out.

I printed these out and used cardstock from a cereal box for backing on the maps, and white glued them together. The map is nice and sturdy now and I can place it as a dynamic item on tables (so it can go flying across the floor if the table is flipped!)

Any ideas of other things I could add to the file?

Fabulous! Thanks so much!
Just had an idea or two and thought I'd add it to this post rather than create a new one.
how about bulletins, royal decrees, wanted type posters, shop signs, etc?
