This immediately enters my personal top ten list of awesome projects I have seen in this community, ever. No, I don't actually have such a list, but I should really start one...
And it enters this hypothetical list quite high up: Not only are the results absolutely beautiful and the walkthrough extremely helpful (I think if we ever wanted a template of how to to a tutorial, this would be it). You also came up with several stunning ideas that were new to me, like your way of making logs and stumps. I probably won't try to make a house like yours (even if I'd love to - I simply have not enough opportunities to use it in my game), but the logs'n stumps are probably the next things I'll make.
Hope to see more from you in the future!

I tend to be very critical of my own work and would have been surprised if it just squeaked by into anyone's top 500 list. This means a lot to me, as do all the comments that the community leaves me. This is very inspirational and it makes me want to craft more! Cheers!

After what seems like weeks of overtime, the carpenter finally finished the ladder to his domicile. CRISIS AVERTED!

There are so many small tips and good ideas in this build. The logs, the shingles, and the V-gouge on the craft sticks all stand out quite a bit as excellent tips.

I'm happy if anyone found anything in this build that they can add to their arsenal for crafting. I have learned so much from this community, so I'm glad that I can return the favor. Happy crafting!

I'm happy if anyone found anything in this build that they can add to their arsenal for crafting. I think 6 or 7 of us are gonna buy a V-gouge now, lol Again, beautiful work. Love the little note stuck on the post... details like that really take things to a higher level.

Wow just wow. Obviously your players will just walk straight past it and go to the tavern!! I will bet money that that is exactly what will happen! I'll likely have to make the BBG of the whole campaign the carpenter...and every time the PC's set up camp in the wilderness it will be infested with termites...not to mentions every encounter will contain wood monsters (instead of rust monsters) just so I can get some use out of this thing.

It is things like this that have hooked me into this forum/hobby. I look at the finished product and think "wow, no way I could ever do anything like that." Then you take the time to show the tutorial and how yoy did everything and I start thinking that maybe I really can do that next project or the one after that. Thanks for being an inspiration and sharing your talent!
Is it 5 yet? I really needa get back to my crafting "bench."

Absolutely, at first glance it might seem overwhelming, but when you break down this project, there really isn't any single step that is very complicated. I think anyone can make this or something much better.

This is a really badass (can I say that here?) piece, Curufin. I love how it all looks and the roughness of the wooden beams is particularly well-done. And, I am likewise geeking out about how well those logs turned out, especially the one that looks sorta of half-rotted!
Well done, sir.
