I would use it on a door as a puzzle door (and maybe try to find pieces that could fit inside for an interactive puzzle for the PCs)

I think it would be great to build some large gnome contraption that does... well something.

They could be the wheels to the newly invented, one of a kind, Gnome "Kobold Squasher". You know.. I don't think I am being much help. I should probably call it a night and go to sleep. Haha!

What Job gives you hundred of lego wheels?! Cool!
Lay it down to get a round altar or thing. You could cover the holes in the middle with cardboard for a flat surface or make the holes into some ornaments. A water basin, fill the side with hotglue for water textur, out of the middle hole you could somehow create a fontain.

Simple Millstones
Use those holes put some straws in them bend them out like spokes for a mule driven millstone.
Put straws in them straight up work up an upright. Take a second and angle it perpendicular to the base and put shorter straws through the holes so that the straws on the upper wheel fit between the straws coming up from the lower wheel. Finally mount this in the center of a windmill tile.
Put it on top of a cauldron in an alchemists lab.
Put in over a vat or barrell in a brewery.
Set it on the floor in with pipes feeding into it. Perhaps some cult, workers guild or thieves guild has used pipes as a warning or coded message system. Place a small hammer near the pipes.

Central eye hub for a clockwork Gear Golem of Gnomsh make. A mobile Spear Trap...as it rolls along a track, it chucks spears through the holes at anyone traveling through the corridor. A winch system aboard a boat (to haul up an anchor). A wheel hub

Stick some barbeque skewers in them, add some beads and call it an arcane ballista used for city defence. You could also use them as ordinary wheels on a long centipede like gnomish vehicle.
There is an old DnD module called "master of the Desert Nomads" by David Cook. On the cover of this module you see pepole fighting a magical mechanical monster. This Monster is basically a siege tower on big stone wheels. One could make one of those.
