Ok my cyberpunk game is heading to a amusement park soon being set in New Orleans I've got many images to use as inspiration for the now closed six flags. And plan on making the dark rides Joccos madri gras madness the show down wth the big bad in this case it's not so much as kill the bad guy it's get the target and escape before it's to late. Scenes I'm looking at are the midway easy enough 2.5 tiles as game stalls. The carousel that starts with the most obnoxious calliope music for this ill use "the shock of miss Louise" off the lost boys soundtrack. But I want the carousel to be more 3d it's a awkward shape. Next scene will have to be theater of the mind as a fight on the rails of a rollercoaster would be a logistical nightmare to craft. Finally the dark ride

The carousel shouldn't be too hard...a circle with skewers pierced thrpugh farm animal toys...or marine animals...or small dragons. Might I suggest Toob toys?
The roller coaster also shouldn't be too hard to craft. Create a roller cart, repeat a few more times, tie together using rope/string, and then create a track on posterboard. Move it (and perhaps another cart ) along the track, moving it at quadruple speed of a normal person.
You could color code sections of the track to indicate height. I did this in an adventure I ran. It was a bit complex, but it worked. You just can't create an overly elaborate track is all...

Dm Scotty did a mine car encounter. Rather than rig up the entire path he just made the mine car. The movement was theature of the mind.
For a coaster the car will be a little bigger you may want the second coaster car to set on the parallel track.
It would be cool to rig it up as a see saw. So that some rounds it is climbing other rounds it is falling. Give advantage to high ground wich will shift all the time. Throw in skill checks balance on the turns.
This sounds fun.

It would be cool if you had a miniature train track to use or borrow from the kids. Other than that you could make the tracks with popsicle sticks and toothpicks, it would just be time consuming is all.

Wooden coasters are also more prone to warping and deterioration over time than steel coasters. Loose or broken beams, warped track, etc. They also use a lot of support beams, which would provide players with many opportunities for vertical / climbing encounters. Many coaster rides also use more than one train during ride operation, which could add an element of danger if any part of the ride should fail and allow more than one train to operate in a given block of track.

Watch DM Scotty's video on cliff encounters. You could do a roller coaster in a similar manner, where it's drawn/painted as a horizontal side view.
