Before we continue with the unfinished treasure hoards, we had to speed-build another one. My boy's best friend has birthday today and what better present for her princess castle than a royal treasure? So we made another one all in one go. I did most of the work myself because we had only a few hours time, but my son made some other presents in the meantime for her, so it was OK with him. The process is exactly the same as with the other pieces. Prime a hotglue-cast floor tile in black, then give it a grey drybrush. Glue some crumpled tinfoil heaps on the tile, then cover them completely in hotglue. I also selected a hotglue-cast barrel. Select a few knick-knacks as large parts of the treasure... ...plus a few coins. Superglue everything in place. Chose a gold tone as base color for the treasure. You'll later cover the heaps with glitter, but on some places like the large coins, there will be no glitter and the base color will shine through. Pro tip: Wait until the superglue is cured or you risk ruining your brush. Time for the glitter and some fake gems. When the superglue is dry, lightly drybrush with white around the heaps to create the illusion of the treasure casting light on the dungeon foor around it. This effect worked much better on the other treasure tile which I haven't posted pics of so far. Chose a black or brown wash and go over everything. Wipe the wash off the gems and if you want, some of the metal parts. The finished piece:

Making treasure tiles is so much fun, my brain has started to go in a weird kind of 'DM's Monty Haul' mode where I try to come up with excuses to get these treasures into my games. :)D

Hey Tauster... what did you use for you pillars and statue stands on page 1? That's a set of pre-made cast stones (plaster?) I got cheap on ebay. No idea about the brand or article name, sorry.
