Thanks. :^) I'm excited to see how my party fares against them.
This is a signature. It's my signature, to be exact.

I really like both of the encounters, and the tentacle-elemental one would fit nicely into my campaign. I may have to store both of these ideas for a session or two. Having the minis to represent the growing slime really makes it that much cooler.

Hey, it's been a while since I've updated. Here is a new sculpt I just finished. A player wanted to be a cyborg assassin, so this is what I made for her. I'm sorry these pictures aren't very good. I don't have a good camera, and these 15mm models are tiny!

Thanks! I can definitely see improvement from my old sculpts. I think it mostly comes down to patience. I'll have to make a few more characters within the next week or two, so stay tuned for more!

I really like all of the custom sculpts and the 15mm thing. Almost to the point of throwing all of my existing junk away. Investment is keeping me attached to the 28mm, but your custom minis are inspiring enough to keep me considering sculpting rather than buying minis.

Well, sculpt in 28mm! It takes more material, but its much easier to get detail!

These are some fantastic sculpts. I've Recently been doing some sculpting, and looking through this thread helped me out a couple times. I notice you use Sculpey. Have you tried Super Sculpey yet? If so, how do they compare? I'm a Super Sculpey guy, but I'm interested in checking out other media.

Ive done some work with sculpey and in my experience, (on bigger projects anyway) after a length of time it will crumble if not baked. When I made the switch to super sculpey I found that I could leave the project for months and it would still be ok to work with. I also found Sculpey a tad flaky in comparrison to super sculpey.

I've never tried super sculpey. I've heard good things, but haven't found a need for it just yet. Sculpey is already nicer than the natural clay I'm use to from school.
One thing, though. I haven't noticed regular sculpey dry out unless i store it in some place with an extreme temperature (the car in summer, for example). Maybe I'll give some super sculpey a try, though. The regular kind does seem to be a bit grainy at tiny scales.

I've had problems using the beige. Leaves my fingerprints on detailed stuff that I don't want to water rub. The gray takes a little longer to get warm and softer. I use them both depending on the situation.

I do get fingerprints when I work with Super-Sculpey. It really doesn't bother me because when I paint over it the prints usually disappear. Especially when I'm using the heavier craft paints. I tend to be pretty heavy handed with the brush when I'm painting anything I've sculpted though. Same with working on crafting projects.

i find if I either put my project in the freezer for 5-10 minutes its hard enough agin to work with it and avoid prints. Another thing is to use one of those air cans for computer parts upside down so it soots frost at it. this is another good way to add super fine detail.
