Hello everyone, I've just wandered across from the Cardboard warriors forum to say 'Hi'. I started wargaming because my children used to play WHFB when they were around 10-11 or so and I joined in to do the 'quality time' thing. Only problem is I got addicted and they moved on, grew up into huge adults and gave up 'childish things' (please no outrage I actually don't think Fantasy wargaming is childish at all).
Model making is something I've always liked and while I've worked with all kinds of materials it's cardboard and wood that I've come back to. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all over here and learning some new things. Perhaps I'll be able to share some ideas with you too.

Welcome! Heh, yeah, if growing up means giving up gaming and crafting, I am never going to get old! In fact, I want to found a retirement village full of tabletop gamers.. can you imagine the campaigns a horde of retirees could set up!?
I have barely begun to delve into the Cardboard Warriors forum, I am sure there is a heck of a lot of cross-over between the crafting groups, and we are always happy to show, share and exchange our ideas and innovations!

Thanks for the welcome AJ That sounds like the kind of retirement village where I'd like to live too. Even though I'm mostly working with printed card for my wargaming terrain and minis, I've made a few models from wood and card for large scale railway modelling too so it's only going to be a matter of time before I do something similar for wargaming terrain.
