So yeah, went to the store got more poly clay, grabbed up a little sculpting tool kit $12, and this is what I have come up with so far

I've got a set of earth elementals I made out of rocks and pebbles glued together. They came out quite well I think.

Really like the golem. Is he part glue stick? The jagged edges are nice.

Right, that does it, I'm making a rock golem! Seen so many really cool ones, I have to give it a try. Also, that skull is great, I could see a hundred uses for it!

Really like the golem. Is he part glue stick? The jagged edges are nice. Nope no glue stick, funny how the edges worked, I bought some imitation Sculptey, craftsmart or some such,
and found it to be harder and drier than the sculptey...so I started breaking off pieces into small bits, and that was the way the rocks edges came about...
made a little foot with wire, kept the other side straight, and started to string the clay onto the wire like I was making a bead necklace, made two legs, then formed them together for the body
added shoulders and arms, then lastly the head took about 10-15 min
I left enough play in the arms so they could be moved into several positions,
kinda surprised nobody noticed the different positions in the photos yet
Once again, BIG THX everyone for the kind words, that's what keeps me posting

The Rock Golem reminds me of the movie, Galaxy Quest, where Tim Allen's character had to battle just such a creature. I've been tinkering with the idea of making such a critter. Now I have a tutorial on how to do it! Thanks! Cheers!

Hey Dragon722, yes sir, that is the same skull, trying to keep as much of my builds as modular as I can, so it's a multi-use skull, the hangers I put on the side of the skull remove, so it can be used for other encounters/situations
