I'm new here! I've been watching theDMG's videos for a couple of weeks now, and that got me interested in DM Scotty's stuff, and THAT got me making stuff on my own, which I'm sure I'll post pictures of for the interested.
Use an external image host, such as photobucket, and link the images via the image URL, using the Image Link icon, it should show up right away on the post, or you can preview before posting, to double check it worked correctly.
Welcome I like seeing pics of peoples creations. Its interesting that the creations are always a little different even if we use the same techniques. So its always cool seeing what people make with their own hands.
Welcome to the group. I joined yesterday and put up some pics today and everyone has been super supportive and friendly. I get so much inspiration from seeing what other people built. Cant wait to see what you've made.
And agree with what Neil said. It's always cool to see someone's take on something even if it has been done before. I know I see something and usually find a few things that add a nice touch.
And WeAre138 is correct. I've never seen anything approaching a flame. I've asked some dumb question and gotten actual feedback instead of a "dumb noob" response. No such thing as a dumb question, only bad thing is getting disheartened by having a project fail and not seeking advice from others who have had the same problems before.
I think most disagreements that arise here are mostly resolved amicably. I have had some disagreements, but I try to be respectful about them, and in the end I think everyone agrees that personal differences can be set aside and we all really really appreciate creativity from everyone.
In fact, when it comes to creativity, no one has anything but positive or constructive input, which is great!
Personally I love goblins.. so much dynamics to do with them. If I could play with DMG I'm sure he would drop the hate vibe lol. Welcome and I cant wait for the new inspiration from your pics.
Hmmmmnnn..gobbos are so much fun to use and abuse! I cannot think of a better more diverse low level monster to put in an adventure. Need a dirty back stabbing humanoid? Gobbos are it! If you need comedic relief Goblins are right there with a gag (literally) a second! Need a wave of creatures to rush the party while the Paladins and Rangers wade into them? The Gobbo fits the bill! Please dont even get me started on the PC aspects of the Gobs! LOLOLOL! They are awesome!
Until I came to these boards I have neverheard the term Gobbo in reference to Goblins. Since, I have decided to add it to my regular gamer Lexicon...even going so far as to make them an Orc-Goblin subrace.
So there's one success story for how awesome it is being here. And many thanks to DMG (who coined the term as far as I can tell)
erho: I will once again rise above Lurker status if I ever get back to painting, Real life work transitions... Adulting

sgtslag: Started working on making hills, which match my Tee-Time carpet I use for my "grass mat," on my gaming table, for big battles. Got two long chunks of open-cell foam, from a friend. Used my Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter to make terrain hills out of them.
Jul 26, 2020 20:12:40 GMT
sgtslag: Came up with around 80 hills. Covering them with the same carpet, from scraps. They will match the tabletop, perfectly. Contact Cement, is my friend. Will post on it, when I get the pictures uploaded. Some prototypes done, as proof-of-concept...

Sept 14, 2020 14:16:19 GMT
sgtslag: 50 Hills completed, 24 left to cover the sides on. Hoping to finish this project within the week. Then I'll post a build description. For war gaming, but it can cross over to RPG sessions... They match the ground 'cloth', perfectly.
Sept 19, 2020 19:03:09 GMT
sgtslag: Sorry, randywest, the listed makers are the only ones I know.
Sept 19, 2020 19:03:34 GMT
sgtslag: Ran out of Hot Glue, with only five hills left to add a skirt to the sides of. Wal-Mart closes at 8:00 PM, thanks to COVID. GRRRrrr! Another 30 minutes of work, and I would have been done: ~77 hills, modular, perfectly matching my table's ground cloth!

sgtslag: Will post a write-up soon, or after next week's vacation. Cheers!
