Green twine? Jungle vines! Dollar Tree! The one near me is about 15 mins away. I stopped there on a while after a garage sale on thursday. I did a good haul, and everything is a buck. I have a yard stick/straight edge but no ruler. I got a pack of 2 wooden ruler $1 24 cubic inches of reindeer moss (for flocking) $1 45 foot long pipe cleaners $1 3 pack of glow in the dark aliens $1 (I picked up two pack so $2) Playmobil figures $1 (I think I got 5) I posted picks of the aliens and figures. The aliens and figures are a bit too big to play with for dungeon tiles. They would however work as something like statues or golems. I'm using them as Pawns. Always worth a look when you have a few bucks in your pocket and a few minutes to kill. Always up for a good find

I have about three dollar trees that r within 15 minutes or so by car from my house. Each one carries different stuff in gamers thinking so try to hit each a couple times a month. One I frequent the most has a goodwill and a goodwill bargain bin in the same building right next door. Some things u all have found now makes me want to look closer around other areas of the store to find some of these items u all have found lol

I hit the goodwills when I think of it and am near by one. A girl I worked with twice (contract work) ended up getting some decent board games at the one near her house. Since the weather is getting more agreeable I have been looking on craigslist for local garage sales. You never know if a gamer might be getting rid of some stuff as well

You never know if a gamer might be getting rid of some stuff as well I have a few co workers that garage sale all the time and look for game stuff that I play because I do not have another couple hours to spare lol. Flea market opens soon and will most definitely stop by there. Goodwill always has a crap load of board games. The bargain bins usually have pieces scattered on the bottom so I pick thru what I want out of that

hehe that's why I tend to only hit the ones that are fairly close to me. I'm about in the boonies. I wouldn't call it rural (if I got 15 south I see cows) but wouldn't call it suburban either.
What gets me about yard sales (and a lot of ebay stuff) is folks wanting almost full price for used stuff. Sorry bub, but if I can spend a few bucks more and get it new I will.
Luckily there are a few Dollar Generals, a few Family Dollars and one or two Dollar Trees around me.

I've hit those shops from time to time, but by now I usually avoid dollar stores (or their German equivalents). Not because I have too much crafting materials (and generally speaking, roleplaying stuff - my wife's point of view ), but because I have not enough storage space (my point of view)...

Why I need to clear some space out of my spare bedroom and turn it from a store room into a gaming room Edit: Instead of adding a new post.... I also forgot I got some beads and some Popsicle sticks from the dollar tree as well. Sort of working on a map project. Letting the idea brew in the background of my brain. I've seen more fantasy type guard towers being crafted. I've been thinking of a more modern (WWII and onward) variation of one. Just have to try to work out some of the tweaks in my head to get it to actually look nice.

Subbing to your Channel Good Work ! Same here.... Good in several ways. love seeing other people's ideas. Like seeing other people do things on the cheap. Also like seeing how someone approaches doing a project. Like a Chinese Food menu you pick and choose from the folks for the way that suits your own tastes/style best.
