Hey Everyone, new around here as you might have guessed.
I am running the AD&D Temple of Elemental Evil module, up-converted to Pathfinder. TTOEE was my first experience with D&D back when I started playing, and I thought with 3 first timers in the group it would be a fun way convert them to the dark side.
I decided pretty early on into the campaign that I wanted to find a way to include a little bit more detail than what I could manage by reading descriptions and drawing on the chessex grid in wet erase, and started poking around at different options. First thought was blow up the floorplans and detail the heck out of them in photoshop; but the temple is huuuuuuuge and the printing costs for the level of detail I wanted got a bit prohibitive. That is about when I took to youtube looking for tile crafting videos. I am very excited at the prospect of using 2.5d in my game.
The temple has a lot of interesting visuals I am going to try to tackle, doing some faux marble paint jobs for floors is one I eager to try out. I'll no doubt be popping in regularly to ask questions, share progress, and get feedback if anyone wants to weigh in. So hello everyone.
