I like HeroClix normals for modern figures, but there aren't a lot of different poses. Course, I'm paying around $0.50 per figure most times, so I'm not too fussy. But as you both have said, it's getting harder to find them!

A few years back, they came out with rules for using Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars for Steve Jackson's Car Wars! While Car Wars is a little more complex from what I can tell, I kind of like the Car Wars background and rules better, but YMMV.

Some interesting ideas with the way you handled the gate. I think you're doing a good job with your crafting and videos.

I believe Europeans call it Mastic. It is used for sealing bathtubs and sinks, against water leaks. There two main types: latex, and silicone. The latex can be painted; the silicone will not take any type of paint, period. I would suggest looking for paintable, mastic. Cheers!
Beat me to the post! LOL!

Hey factoriatabletop, in answer to your question about caulk, it is normally used to seal seams around areas where water is used in homes. For instance, the bathroom tub, shower or sink. There are several different kinds, but latex tends to maintain it's flexibility when it has set (dried). If you do a Google search for it, you should find lots of ads for companies selling it. I did a search on Wikipedia and found the following article, DAP Products. DAP is one of the main manufacturers of caulk.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Also, I've seen Red Beard Baron's channel and have watched quite a few of his videos. Don't remember seeing his game matt videos though. Thanks for posting!

Paizo came out with a Pathfinder Adventure Path called, Skulls & Shackles. Pirate campaign path and even if you don't want to play Pathfinder, it gives enough inspiration for a ship based campaign!

I used to take notes when I was running my games, but eventually stopped because it interrupted the flow of the game too much!
So I started using a digital recorder, but even with that, I don't have the time to listen to each recording to write up the adventure logs. I'm waiting till after the first of the year to buy Dragon Professional as I supposedly will transcribe the audio files to text!

I've started using washers myself for basing minis and small pieces of terrain. The extra weight of the washers makes the pieces very stable. One of my favorite pieces are the various trees I've done. I don't put leaves and branches on them, just have trunks. That is enough to represent a forest without cluttering the view of the minis on the table.
I've also got rocks on washers as well for the same type of effect.

I saw a YouTube video a few years back from one of the 40k guys I used to follow using caulking on canvas drop cloth to give it various textures, then painting it and finally being able to roll it up like you did.
I found the video that I was talking about,

The water effect was a bit of a disaster but it's been stabilized. The paint job really needs some contrast. It'll also need a few swamp-ish plants and a bit of flocking but I've been pretty discouraged about the whole thing at this point. Any suggestions?
You could do some dry brushing with grays or blacks to give it contrast. That would continue the dead look. You could also put some green color in, but I would use a green toward the blue end of the spectrum. That would give you a 'cool' color where as one toward the yellow end would give you a 'warm' color. The blue should give you a sickly coloration.

I try and plan what I am going to do for my turn while playing, but our GMs rather we wait to make our rolls when they call for us, but what I do for my dice rolling is roll both the to hit and damage dice. I have enough different colors of dice that I can make two attack rolls at the same time. Since my current characters are not high enough level to make more than two attacks, I don't need more dice. Plus, I use a home made dice tower to make my rolls, so roll them all at once and then separate out the different dice to let the GM know what my results are. They also know ahead of time which dice are for my primary attack and which go with the secondary.

I would think that if you put some cardboard over the opening after spraying in the foam, and taped it down, the foam would expand into the recesses of the mold better, until the pressure was great enough to pop the tape, then would continue to expand to it's full volume after. I'll have to try that on one of my cheap push molds and see if it works. If it does, I'll bet I could do the same on my Hirst Arts molds.
I have some mold release that I'll spray on the mold first though.
