Now I took inspiration for this trap from thirteenth floor haunted house it just feels like it belongs in d&d. The idea is the this big roller is on ropes or cables attached to columns and the front columns lower allowing gravity to cause this monstrosity to roll towards the party it can be use from the side of a hallway or a crossed a hallway and it being gravity fed would stay down until reset becoming terrain. The reason for the craft.

I thought for sure it was inspired by Prince of Persia Video game...looks just like it...good stuff!

Ironically I havent owned a video game system since a play station 1 many years ago. So I don't know but maybe that's where they got it from it's an effective scare though.

Ooh! I'll have to make something similar.
I never have enough traps in my games. Maybe having minis for them will help!
One of these, an Indiana-Jones ball, and some buzzsaw traps should be a good start!

watch Vikings episode where they raid Paris. that is another good rolling spike trap.
