The heroes start their descent into level six. The first door is chained and locked. They decide to skip it for now. Group shot. The remains of smashed gargoyle statues litter this room. The party encounters a group of mages, who charm the fighter. You'll note the illusionist has been put to sleep. The evil mages (and the charmed fighter) are attacked by skaven! Overhead shot. (You can see the webcam in this pic; we have one player who plays remotely via Hangouts.)

Going back to the chained door... Gargoyles! The illusionist sent in an unseen servant to try and get the loot, but as soon as it touched it, a gargoyle shredded it. Attempts to lasso the loot with rope from the hallway resulted in gargoyles animating and slicing the rope. Finally, the fighter decided to try and blindfold one to see if that would keep it from reacting; it attacked him. The other gargoyles flew out into the hall to attack the rest of the party. At the end of the battle, the other fighter had died. Thankfully the two jeweled crowns in one of the coffers, together worth 3,000gp, was just enough to have him resurrected. (I generally have the churches charge 1,000gp per level of dead PC to bring 'em back; this dude was level three.)

Descending the stairs down, the players find themselves in a large room with a 40' ceiling. Guarded by some low-level acolytes. The height of the ceiling comes in to play in a bit... Better overhead shot... Four elemental temples. Earth (green), Air (yellow), Fire (red), and Water (blue). The high ceiling gives the harpy from the air temple plenty of room to fly and perform dive attacks. Investigating after the battle: The Earth temple had a large, scary looking statues in it, so they noped out of that room. The Fire room had a wall covered in old wax and burning candles; it'll be investigated later. The Water room had a bas relief of a crashing wave; it'll also be checked out next session. The Air temple had a door, which opened into a small, nicely appointed sitting room, with a door to the west which was ajar... Peaking through the western door revealed a bunch of guards. My players are smart... The took a necklace with a religious symbol on it off of the harpy, and the fighter put it on. They successfully bluffed the guards that they were new recruits, and were told to get to work sorting out the supply room. Supplies! They were quickly found out and had to fight their way out. After this combat, we had to end the session. More to come!

@ odinist - Looks like you're off to a good start.
@ dungeonmasterrandom - They look like doors from Hirst Arts, or Mage Knight. From how thick they are, they look like Hirst Arts doors though.

Nice mix of modular and set piece tiles Thanks! The modular bits are pretty much exactly the ones suggested in your video. Since I'm using foam board, I made some "blue prints" after I figured out how many 6cm x 6cm squares I could fit on one sheet:

Templates are always very helpful, thank you for posting that!
The foam tiles really look good, and it makes my miss my Hero Quest minis.

The foam tiles really look good, and it makes my miss my Hero Quest minis. Thanks! Hopefully the templates are of some use to everyone! Not terribly long, two evenings' worth of work, a few hours each time. I do still need to do the wall highlighting/detail on the walls/single square bits though, so that'll be maybe another half hour tops.

Awesome, looks like a fun game! Nice set of tiles.
Also, I love seeing others still rocking the old school minis. I use the Dungeon Strike gargoyles pretty often in my games, for all sorts of winged creatures. Your paintjob on the HQ minis looks really nice. I plan to paint my HQ set as soon as i build up the confidence in my painting skills. So far I've only done the mummies and skeletons. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Look forward to seeing more.

I may go back to foamboard for my dungon modular set when I get back to it. Gathering all this cardboard for my cavern set is killing me!
