Just a few things I have been working on. A poor gaurdsmen whose flesh has been stripped clean by the great devourer. A cratered and battered bridge.

I'm a big Deathwatch fan as well (Rogue Trader is fine, but when you want to really go crazy, nothing beats psychotic space marines).
Really loving that sewer liquid, how did you make them?

Thanks! Yes, the 40k universe is fascinating as hell. Deathwatch, Rogue Trader, and Dark heresy are awesome rpg games. AJ - I simply painted the cardboard with green and a bright yellow, edging the borders with black paint. I then applied 3 coats of modge podge and finished with a varnish coating to protect he modge podge. The liquid that is spilling from the pipe was a technique I picked up from dreamspiritwar on you tube, I think. Some of my Dark Heresy builds. This was an warehouse scene where the team confronted some Shora Cartel "importers". A tip had reached the team the Cartel were importing xenos weapons. The team launched an assault against he warehouse. The team was The Techpriest with his entourage of the servitor, one flamer servo skull, one utility servo skull, and Quentos the Cherub; the abrites officer and his cyber hound, a sanctioned psyker, two guardsmen, and Sister Maria of the Ebon Chalice. After a drawn out fire fight, the team secured the warehouse and information that lead to their next assignment. Several Outside ViewsInside ViewThe warehouse was made from foam board. The pallets I made from coffee stirrers and washed with sepia.. The square crates were woodies. The yellow and blue barrels were the woodies pickle barrels. The scaffold was made from granny grate and some extra sprues I had. Same with the one inside the warehouse. The ladder I crafted from two coffee stirrers and some paperclips. The bars in the windows are toothpicks. Both doors are removable. The table I made coffee stirrers.

The secret is wet blending the two green paints together then applying a some yellow and again wet blending the green into again. Your building layers. Final touch, occasional strokes of the yellow to indicate current flow. Afterwards, three light coats of modge podge and a varnish coat to seal it. The modge podge gives it texture.

Some new stuff and some WIP. Secret Ordos Xenos Lab The power generator is still WIP. The specimen holding tanks are completed. The tanks are attached to the generator by small magnets. It is a two level tile. I used 1.5 inch couplings, painted them black and attached magnets to them to make my support pillars. The upper level I attached a washer to the bottom to connect to the pillars. There is a stair leading to the upper level. The stairs are made of card board and granny grate. Some action shots of Deathwatch versus the Great Devourer.

I've only ever played fantasy settings, but I agree with Scotty that it's nice to see something different sometimes. Awesome stuff, Valas.

I started with D&D, Traveller (tiles would basically be hotel parking lots covered in bullet holes, based on most of our games), Heroes Unlimited (again, mostly underground bunkers and office buildings, suffering copious anti-tank weaponry abuse) and got back to serious D&D again.. though there may well be some Warhammer 40K stuff in the future (Deathwatch, or Rogue Trader). I'd also love to make some sort of Cthulu setting campaign.. because making horrific monsters is my forte.
