Hello All,
I'm new to the DM's Craft Forum. I would like to post some photos of my crafts that I've completed so far. I read in the FAQ to use an image repository site. I've never used one before so I'm not sure about which one is best or easiest to use with this forum. Of the three listed:
Imageshack, Photobucket, and Imgur,
which one is the best to use? Has anyone encountered problems on one more than the others? Is there another one that is better than the three listed above?
Also, I've noticed that posts with photos show up one of two ways - either as embedded images within the posts (complete with captions) or as url links to the repository site of the poster's choice.
Once I have my own repository, how do I create a post with images so that they show up as embedded photos?
Any advice a veteran user can give on these issues is greatly appreciated.

A lot of people on this forum originally used free image storage at Photobucket. However, in 2017 Photobucket starting charging for any use. Charging quite a lot, apparently. So forum posters either had to subscribe to Photobucket or transfer all their images to another image site - and re-link all their photos if they wanted people to still be able to see them. A lot of people moved to Imgur, which is why the thread mentioned in your message above was created.
If you subscribe to Photobucket and want to use that, there is an older thread somewhere that explains how to link images stored at Photobucket.
Looking forward to seeing your photos!

Thank you, margaret! Well received... 🤝
I've been crafting for just over a year, now, and figured it's time for me to see how I'm doing, as well as seek ways to improve from the community here. I have to get photos of my crafts out there to do that.
Looks like I'll be taking a gander at Imgur. Thanks again for your help.

I recommend imgur as well. Got a free account when I started with this forum years ago and after over 5000 uploaded pics still no problem. Works fast, reliable and free.

Thank you for the testimonial. I will check them out and, hopefully, have an account sooner rather than later.
