DM : You can observe a group of 3 people, about fifty meters from your position ... they are waiting at the main gate of the beholder. They seem nervous about your arrival and they watch you closely. On the battlements of the wall you can see a group of archers prepared for a possible confrontation.
The one who seems to be the leader of the group, waves to you and beckons you to come closer.
DM to players : hejerebo, dont forget you are a wizard a can use your magic ( as you wish) to face any situation. barby, you are a great warrior so keep in mind. any way, now you have to be focused on meeting Friedich.
DM to barby : check your character sheet in the last post, you have all the info there, like i told you trough message you have some skills and just need to roll a dice ( D6 ) and add this valor to your points. Now you only need to give me your perception rolling, so...you have 1point plus 1D6...good luck mate!

Hejerebo waves back, I'll call out to the leader that we are not looking for trouble, rather just an audience with Friedich.
I'll go into detail once we are in speaking range, is there any other clues on the situation like damaged walls or injuries on the people?

Barby scratches head... confused Barby don't see very well from distance Throws 1d6+1=5 Barby got lucky; as he raised a hand above his eyebrows to enhance his vision, he didn't completely covered his eyes and therefore can see between his fingers... Unfortunately, Barby did not understand better the situation (not enough neurons). After carefully weighing the situation, Barby considers it is too early in the adventure to enter rage mode and start crushing skulls... he will patiently wait for his companion's signal.

DM : " you decide entry in the beholder, you follow him....the wooden doors opened and just before go further you think again if it's a good idea to go in ... maybe you should demand that friedich come out to meet you ..."
DM to players : " hejerebo and barby....what are you going to do? ( you can ask any extra info to me before decide anything....or just get crazy and do your own desires! surprise me!!
DM to players : i would like to ask you guys if you like this way to show the action...i mean, i was thinking to use miniatures, dioramas, maps and everything i can do to let you see what is going on...if you think is better " theatre of mind" just let me know, to me is not a problem to create this scenes, i having fun with it!

Alright, tough call: shall Barby enter suicidal rage mode or shall he try to control his temper... a barbarian can hardly resist the urge to fight. However, Barby was left to die on that tree not so long ago and therefore still suffers PTSD. He is not fit for entering suicidal rage mode... not yet, just hold on a little longer Barby. You shall bathe in blood soon enough ^^
Ok, so unless his master-saviour-friend gives him "the look" (we might have to talk about that signal erho), Barby will allow the unfriendly local folks to carry on with their lives... for now. Barby will also follow his companion inside if asked.

DM to Hejerebo : " you can perceive your partner is getting nervous... He has sworn you loyalty and can die for you if you just order, is a warrior with a very extreme code of honor... so basically now everything depends of your choice...."
DM to players : if you wish, you can ask me for any " roll " you want even is not on your character sheet, we can create the rules trough we playing. You are doing a good job, keep it up!

please note that your level bar increased a little ( because you got some experience points...) also this is your updated character sheet ( we will be uploading info all the time so you need to use the newest one ).
barby, you dont have any item yet but dont worry about that, you can pick up any item you want...just let me know on the comments what are you looking for...
both of you can pick up any item, or leave it...just ask me if there is something available around you. You can buy staff, steal...well, i think you got the idea

Barby only needs a sword... an almighty extra-long double-handed skull-crashing widow-maker sword! Oh and a toothpick... you never know when you'll need a toothpick. Barby was already wearing a speedo when his very intelligent friend rescued him so he is sorted armorwise. Cheers

all right...before continuing the story hejerebo : there is many kind of magic in this world...nigromancy, Illusionism, conjuring, predictions, spells, transformism, conversionism, and all kinds of magic that one can imagine. only the most powerful magicians are able to master all the arts ... your speciality is the elements. I mean, fire, water, ground and air...you can easily conjuring any of this elements at your whim. you can create shields of sand and rock, walls of fire, tornadoes and storms, torrents of water ... ( as your choice, you are the wizard ) also, you can try any kind of magic but there is not 100 % of success on it. DM to players : " you arrived to the main building, you get inside. There is Friedich waiting for you. He is on his 40s and still has a and still remains in good shape, is robust, intelligent looking, strong and his way of acting seems a very self-confident person. he looks at you and says..." Friedich to players : " welcome to finlanmath, travellers. I apologize for the way we have received you, we are not having a good run and I am afraid we distrust all foreigners. Hejerebo, we were just waiting for you, seeing that you were accompanied, we thought you would be bandits like the ones we usually face lately ... Now that everything is clear, I am afraid that I should be clear and concise ... we do not have much time. Cheers why a toothpick?!! hahahaha all right, you will need to show us what are you able to do with it!! well chosen man! ( you will be able to pick up your sword and toothpick in your next turn, there is a lot of items to choose. I will make a list soon and then you can decide...) also, hejerebo, you already have your items but you can pick up as many as you can carry on ok=? best regards, can wait to start the real adventure, be patient please!

Ok, so Barby will grab the best double-hand sword he can find, a pair of boots to appease his very clever saviour friend and look for a toothpick... just in case. In any case, Barby will then ask for a feast! He's been quite worn off by being left to rot on a tree, then walking for an undertermined amount of time that felt too long and then facing that anxious mob; unpleasant experiences while dealing with PTSD. So Barby need some food, and some booze (in large quantity)...
Barby to Friedrich, in his nicest though clumsy manner: "Me need food and drink! Please?"

Mighty Mc Farland to Hejerebo: " We do not have much time, I have to be quick my young apprentice. You have been chosen for this mission because your parents before dying against the great witch granted you the protection spell against her. You came to me after the death of your parents and I took care of you, and I taught you everything ... you are still not an accomplished wizard but you must execute this mission because the great witch is responsible for all this ... she escaped after the battle against your parents, weakened, to finlanmath, pretending to be a priestess ... now he has stolen the necronomicon and is forming the army of darkness ... against his power there is nothing we can do ... except your hejerebo . revenge death of your parents, retrieve the book, show that you are a great magician and your spirit will be free! Dm to Hejerebo : you found the history to much....mmm... with a lot of coincidences... roll for perception my friend! meanwhile barby got really drunk..but.... but miraculously his murderous instinct did not wake up ... he is singing his adventures in a very comical way, this makes the people around laugh, which they had not done for a long time. Barby's sung stories are about death, shattering enemies, rampant sex and many other things that make people respect him ... they have changed their attitude a little bit about stay together with a barbarian.... and they cheer with you the songs !!!! you got 1 experience point!!
