Hey guys! Hope you all had a great holiday season! Mine was pretty...memorable. XD
I've decided to take a page from the book of some other members here on the forums and keep my posting on the topics of my YouTube channel restricted to a single thread. Forum etiquette and all. So that's what this thread will be. If I have anything to post that's not on my YouTube channel, then I'll make another thread. You guys might not even give a crap about this. For all I know you don't think it's all that annoying for me to make a new thread each time I make a video. It's just what I feel is right. So in that vein - here's a few of my most recent craft videos to kick us off! I hope you all enjoy them!
Let me know below what you all think! I love the feedback and I would love it if any of you have crafted some similar items (Tents/Trees, Fountains/Water Effects, and Dungeon Tiles)!

Hell yes! I totally will. I have some ideas already for that, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

This week's Episode - A Review? Don't worry I still make stuff in the video, but I want to try something new! So whenever I review a product, I will show it being used. In this case I'm reviewing Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. A product typically used in jewelry making.
It's used to give a 3d effect to the front of things like pendants and bracelets. But I'm more interested in its applications in terrain building and modelmaking. So I made some trap tiles using formica countertop samples, as I saw someone do in another youtube video.
So while the idea of this video isn't entirely new, I hope the application of it will impart something on my viewers! It's going to replace resin for me in 90% of my crafting from now on as a much more affordable alternative. Though not as strong as resin, it is far more workable and versatile. You can even use it to cast molds (per the packaging) though that was beyond the scope of this video! Enjoy!

Hey again DMScraft peeps! I got a good one for ya this week. I know you've seen tons of folks' take on bookshelves and whatnot. But this is mine. Sometimes I get carried away with details, to an obsessive degree. From my first crafts as a kid until now. My personal favorite part of this is the miniature candles. Not an original idea. I've definitely seen it before. I just put my own little flavor into it to make it mine. Used my own materials, etc. I really hope you guys enjoy this. Also I'm including a link to the post on my Patreon page for details on a giveaway that I'm doing. The winner gets 4 of these shelves! It costs you nothing to enter, and I figured it's a great way to promote the channel! So please sign up for a Patreon account and leave a comment on the post to enter! Also (sorry to my overseas brothers and sisters) unfortunately, I've gotta keep this one continental U.S. only due to potential shipping costs. I'm not a wealthy man lol! Peace!

Berry nice. I especially like the candle holders. Kudos. Thanks man! Though I can't take all the credit for them, I definitely made them my own! I get inspired a lot by things I see online, here on the forums or elsewhere! This project was heavily inspired by Wyloch, DMGInfo, and DMScotty. Three huge influences on my crafting game. As I'm sure is the case for a majority of people here! After all, this is Scotty's site. Cheers!

Thanks! Very kind words - much appreciated! Let's see if I can help a bit. You've already got the realism thing down. The eye for detail, structure, color, style, etc. What you need are some better materials. But I am loathe to recommend that because I like your style so much! Here's what I would do. Try some Balsa wood. It's cheap so it won't be too much of a bar to overcome. You can still use hot glue (I prefer super/CA glue for balsa and wood in general, and that has worked for me so far), or PVA. Or try using popsicle sticks/craft sticks. I guess my "advice" is to try new materials. Incorporate the new material into what you already know about cardboard. Combine them for new and interesting things and teach yourself some new things in the process. I, or any of the other folks here I'm sure, can recommend any number of decent YouTube channels that talk in depth about materials and processes. Look into the model railroad builders such as Luke Towan, or Mark Lin of Sweden. Or other gaming crafters such as Tabletop Workshop. What I like in particular about TWS is that I don't speak a lick of German and I understand exactly what he's doing. Take some of those things and just try them! Keep what works and chuck the rest. That's really all I can recommend. These are the guys I watch for inspiration. Honestly though, your stuff is really good and deeply original and I would hate to see you change too much! Thanks again for the kind words. You really made a girl feel special!

Dwarves? Traps? Anvils? Puzzles? Poison? What do these things all have in common?
This week’s video!
Cheers!

This week I'm trying something new, and making a large terrain piece. My most involved and arduous project yet. This is only the first part though. I'll release part 2 next week! For now, enjoy the build-up!
