WizKids Spell Effects for Dungeons and Dragons video. I won't use instantaneous spell effects models, but I will use templates which show the area of effect/blast radius/etc. However, things like Unseen Servant, Bigby's Hand spell effects, Wall of Ice, etc., could prove very useful at the table. To be brutally honest, I'd rather craft such spell effects, than buy them (I don't play 5e, I play 2e rules, so many of these models in the sets are not useful to my games, anyway...). Currently, I am in a holding pattern for my crafting, as my craft room is not accessible. Had my youngest son move home again, so my craft room is now a storage room (need a bigger place to hold more stuff -- George Carlin reference, "A place for your stuff", or something similar, very funny). The Bigby's Hand models would be especially useful, if I had PC's who could cast them... Still, they're a fantastic miniature idea! I have not seen a Mage cast Tenser's Floating Disc, since around 1983, so that likely won't be something I pursue, either. The Wall of Ice/Iron/Stone would prove quite useful, though. Funny that it never occurred to me before to make models of some of these longer lasting spell effects, though. Anyway, if you can craft some of these up, I'd love to see your work! Cheers! [ Sgt. Slag lays down the gauntlet, and walks away, head hung low... Wishes his crafting room was operational. Lets out a long, low, sigh of disappointment.]

These can be crafted. I have made spell effect markers with bottles and jello cups (below) that should transfer to crumpled plastic sheets. The Bigby hand and fist could be cut off old Barbie dolls or similar. Fire Ice Air Unseen Servant/invisible character (HeroClix mini)

I understand that feeling! My wife's son moved back in with us, but it was only for 3 months. 6 months later, I had to convert my game room into a bed room. 6 years later, I have been able to turn that bed room back into my game room as we threw him out of the house!
So I'm sure you'll eventually get your crafting area back! Here's hoping that it won't be too long!
Oh for me for spell effects, I really want to get some pieces of plexi-glass for the spell effect areas, tinted accordingly, but I haven't done anything to get that yet. I prefer properly shaped spell effects, not square based ones like from 3.5 or Pathfinder. I do like the ones that we've talked about from ArcKnight as they are a good value for the dollar, but I am waiting for it to be a Christmas present!
I did recently pick up the templates for Savage Worlds, which consist of a burst template of the 3 different burst sizes, a cone template and a turning template. I actually used the burst template during my Saturday Deadwood Deacon campaign, which I've started running occasionally again.

Nice, Everyone! Love the works. Never thought of using doll hands -- superb idea! Gotta check out Michael's and Hobby Lobby, for plastic doll bits and bobs... My son will likely be living with us for a while. He has part-time custody of his son, our grandson, so we're not too anxious to kick him out. He's been living with us now, for several months. My crafting has been at a stand-still. Received my inexpensive, Chinese-made, Finger Nail Dryer, yesterday. Hoping to test it out with some PVA Glue and texture on some mini's bases, hopefully today. Don't think I can turn off the UV LED's in it, to just get the hot air blowing, but I'll experiment, and see. It has detectors which turn the unit on, automatically, when I insert my fingers -- hoping that just setting a mini inside it will turn it on, as well. Perhaps it won't have a safety time limit, and it will keep cooking until I remove the mini?... Bad for fingers, good for drying PVA Glue-coated bases... Full review, with photo's, will be posted after the necropsy is completed. Cheers!

Put some pieces together with stuff I had around. The walls have cardstock bases. The vertical (wall) sections are clear plastic from a small square juice bottle. They had adventures already. My g-g-dau tore the base off the fire wall while I was working on another one, and our dog chewed on the ice wall while I was getting the phone to take the pics. The weapons are from a child's castle set. The bases for the weapons are modified HeroClix flight bases.
