Different games offer ways to place terrain, but its ultimately up to you really.
Set up 2-4 big peices, then 5-6 medium, and more or less of the small scatter terrain. From here you might roll for who goes first, then that person picks a side of the table, then the opponent gets the opposite side.
This is what I usually do. When I play with my 10 and 14 year old I'll let them set the table and go first, and I take the side they purposefully left with no terrain to hide with! lol

The gaming scene in Japan is interesting, from what I gather they have thier own versions of D&D and whatnot.
Are there any hobby stores, or maybe if you live near a US military base, theres always tons of guys that play anything they can at a local store.

Hey, most of my time in this hobby is preparing for future games that so far only a small percentage have actually hit the table!
Until about 2 1/2 years ago I had a 4 year break from any games, and before that it was almost 7 years with no games!
I grew up near several bases, and we had one store in town where you could gather for any game or just read comic books where all the GIs would meet up or post requests for games on a big cork board.
Most Americans I know who are in the military can speak Spanish well enough, so there is a good chance!
Best bet is to hit the nearest hobby store and see if they have opportunity for finding other players, and go from there.
But time is an issue for sure, you never know there may be other players with the right schedule for you!
I really hope you can find a game or two, if anything, you can bring the whole family to Oklahoma and stay with us!

i would like to share a couple of pics i took meanwhile making my first animated battle reports series about Mordheim... please note : i will upload to the forum the paper miniatures, and you can use it when ever you want but i will do it later, i have some issues and cant be able to have the jpg file...just pdf..anyways, i will do as soon as i can! so... i made my miniatures on paper, scan them and colouring by hand with colour pencils i cut them...one by one...more or less one hour of work..didnt know it takes so many time! i made a foam base with a removable system...( for the sprites...) and set it on the table!! also i was thinking a lot in how to make backgrounds in a very cheap and easy way...so finally i decided to use my own computer to put and image and use it ( simulating a green screen ) in front on my computer i just placed my board... well..is just the beginning, i am trying to mix " green screen " and 3d terrain and of course 2d terrain to create a final image...anyways, the point is i already started my Mordheim campaign...so in the next post and videos ( on my YouTube channel ) we are going to see a lot of staff about it! apologizes again for the spanish on my videos but well...i was a little tired and didnt have time ( energy to add subtittles! i leave a link to my first episode of the campaign... my best regards to everyone, you guys take care! ( what a long post...sorry about that )

i would like to share some pics i took making my last video... i am trying to setting a table for my battle report, in mordheim and outside mordheim! these are 3 buildings made of cardboard...i used diferentes techniques learnt from many crafters out there setting a village close to mordheim...and checking if worth it...i was happy with the result i can make many scenes inside this setting... enough to me! the board is made of cardboard and painted with acrylic paint...and sand with glue to give some texture! the detail on buildings are not so great but i think they give a very good atmosphere ... an example....party walking trough a street of mordheim now i am working in how to make walls, trees, and some more stuff i will post as soon as i can!
