I wrote up a set of rules for playing a miniatures game using plastic Army Men figures. It uses dice, not dirt clods, nor Tennis Balls, for resolving combat...
The most uncommon figure, aka, hardest to get, is the Minesweeper figure. I contacted TimMee, a US maker of Army Men figures, asking if I could buy just those figures: "No, we only have one of those in the mold." I could buy multiple sets containing one Minesweeper figure per set, and sell off the extra figures... NOT!
So, back to my question: is there an STL file for Army Men figures on the Internet? If so, I would love to work out a deal where someone could print me up 30-40 of them, and I would trade something for them (cash is an option, if we can agree on price). I have a friend who might be willing to print them for me, too. Need the STL files, first, though... Cheers!
PS:
Forgot to explain why I need so many Minesweepers... I use them as Combat Engineers (CE's): planting Satchel Charges, clearing mine fields, and other complex, technical duties, within specialized scenarios we want to play. Need quite a few, for more complex scenarios. The game plays fast, figures get eliminated, quickly, so need to have more than a few, or the scenario fails. I know I can designate other figures as CE's, by marking them in some way, but I prefer to use the Minesweeper figures, as they are instantly recognizable. Thought if there were an STL file for them, I could get a bunch made, for a reasonable price (compared to buying 500 figures, just to get 40 Minesweeper figures that I want... Minesweepers comprise 8% of the set!). Thanks.
