Very useful tip here, considering how cheap Bones minis are, being able to fix them is a great boon!
I would like to add after heating and bending back to shape, save time by holding it underwater, or under the tap water faucet to speed up the set time.

There's actually a far cheaper way to do this.
Just use a hair dryer rather than a heat gun...

Ive straightened out a base by holding it high above a gas stovetop. It worked but I was in a hurry

Sadly, this is news to me. Simple, brilliant, and, I hope, effective. Anyone know if it holds, over time? I assume it will. Wish I'd seen these long ago... Have known about the hot/boiling water trick, for years, but it's a real hassle -- never bothered with it. Thinking I may need to try this on some painted mini's... I've got a ton of cheap, plastic skeletons, deformed. The plastic's memory would likely warp back into the original mold's shape, same as the Reaper Bones mini's, with heat. Gonna have to try this on the so-deformed-I-can't-use-them figures on my painting desk, this weekend. Cheers!

They do stay!
I used the boiling water method and I havnt had any issues in over a year. The stove top method was around Christmas, and its still standing firm(pun intended)
You bring a good point, they are warped due to heat and the way they are packaged. As noted by Scotty in the vid, once you heat them back up, they tend towards straight as whatever grain structure the resin has was molded into the initial shape and will have a memory.

Ive straightened out a base by holding it high above a gas stovetop. It worked but I was in a hurry While it works, open flames and the hot water tends to be a lot more difficult to get right. The heatgun and hair dryer options don't always work with other plastic minis, and hot water works but it's one where you really need to have the rubber heat resistant gloves or there's more risks of making things worse if the wet and slick mini slips out of your grip and in... Also, if working with an actual flame, you can discolor or "frost" transparent parts such as some of the Reaper bones or things like a few of the old WotC plastic minis (Ruined a few Jedi minis that way)

So I tried it out on a bones Paladin with hair dryer about 2 feet away for a few seconds and then water dunk. After: It worked!
