Your work bench has attained the proper level of clutter necessary for the creative mind to function. VERY WELL DONE! I'll look forward to seeing your wondrous works.

A true crafter's place. Somehow I envy you of your ability to keep it limited to such a small space! Even though I was happy to be able to significantly enlarge the area dedicated to crafting after moving in the new house, I ran out of space after less than a year: There's just too much trash valuable crafting materials accumulating, and all I can do is store it in a more or less organised way. The danger lies in forgetting what stuff you hava available, and becoming unable to find it quickly when you need it. But even crafting materials aside, the growing number of finished projects also eat up storage space (what you see in the pic is only a fraction of the finished stuff and craft materials- I have more than twice that volume of both in the attic, and some more in the workshop). In about two to three years our youngest will inherit my man cave and I will have to move to the attic myself. I don't mind the heat in the summer months up there, but the space is already occupied with the usual stuff you'd expect there, so that will be quite a challenge.

If we are showing off workspaces, then I'm throwing up mine. Temp work space on the dining room table, the cabinet on the left in mostly mine. I have to put away everything when I'm done at night thanks to winter, the garage workshop is too cold! This pic is the weekend when I can leave it out!

lol, got ya'll beat I live alone, so craft while I am watching tv on nocs off work...my living room has become my craft room, with a dozen half finished projects in various stages of needing dry time etc and my family room is "stuff" storage for cool things that I *may* need some day...

For grass, get some tea and coffee, mix with PVA glue, and paint. Spread it out on a sheet to dry, then cruble apart to whatever size you need.

Ive used both. Used coffee and unused tea is what I used for a few projects. Any kind of cooking herb that looks like a leaf would work. It all ends up smelling great when completed! My flock from last year: Coffee Flock trees

Thats about the coolest tree built I've seen, ever. Irregular and thus realistically natural looking shapes, efficiently done with a minimum of work and material. Great!

the minis are going to be made of paper... i think i am going to choose the second one style....35 mm miniature, a little comic style but is fine for me I am going to continue making it for a bite, i am going to upload what i am doing and keep the forum busy hahahah!! cheers everyone! Does 35mm work for your ship?

28mm is the standard scale for what most of us here use.
Older lead minis were 20-25mm, they all pretty much work

Keep it up!
You may try wood dust like you get from sanding wood, or even pencil sharpener shavings. DMScotty used it once for hay stacks and it looked pretty good!

I've also used pencil sharpener shavings for hay bales, they do work well.
