You'd have to really look to spot them I imagine, especially if you base it.The undersides of my tentacles are a little rough from the supports anyway but you can't see it. I doubt anybody will care anyway once the thing's menacing their characters May I share a quick tip that I have learned in printing support. I don't like using the default supports created when you specify supports for a print. I refuse to pay large amounts of money for a software that does. I often will create a 2mm pole under an area that needs just a little support. It easily snaps off and then provides just enough support for some of these areas that are not too bad. That way I don't have chaft left that doesn't clean up and I don't have the bad areas that happen due to overhang. You would need to run it through a free software that makes it manifold, but there are some really good free options to do this with a print that is already manifold. I think it is the best of both worlds. Not perfect, but pretty close. Oh and you may want to put a little base on the support if your printer has issues printing the support. From my cactus designs. That is a really great find. Just the perfect shape for a generic statue. I printed up 6 for my "dungeon dressing" box. Posted a remix here www.thingiverse.com/thing:2774413

You're right. I did not print with supports. The majority of the print was fine but the underside of the front tentacles have a couple of bad spots. I should be able to fix them, though. It's such a nice print anyway, and the problem is not readily apparent. I thought I would show another example of custom supports. These have skinny arms and just would not print and doing supports created way to many lines with the software I have with the printer. So I created my own supports for this already quite popular velvet fungus. It printed out really well. In fact it was so easy and good, I created four of them.
