I've been working in mcdonalds for a while now, told people that i was taking those invoice plastic remains when the paper is gone and be replaced by another roll. those things can easily do pillars with ease. just need to add a top and a bottom and add some colors to them.

While they are solid and great for terrain, I'm not sure they count as organic materials.

Took me a moment to track down the thread I posted them on but here are a few desert plants I made awhile back. The thick boys are made from some sort of seed pods & the bloodthorns are made from.. ahem.. cannabis stems.

I still really, really like Caspan's desert flora! You can get a similar effect with other plant stems if you don't have access to the type he used =)
