Working on a treasure pile now. I have some nice coin sized glitter that's perfect, however I'd like a bunch of little (affordable) gems -- preferably of various colors -- which I can glue onto the pile.
Anyone know of a good source for this? Hopefully I can buy an assortment in one little bag for $1-$3 if possible. Or say up to $6 from hobby lobby since I use a 40% off coupon there (same for Michael's / Joanne's).
Thanks, Jennifer

Michael's has some fine stone granules that might be the right size for 25-28mm figures, but it looks like the vials are sold only as 1 color. probably won't find a mix of colors with this since it's nearly sand grain size

look at bracelets for the cheap. you can often find cheap bracelet full of pearls like stuff or gem like stuff for like 2 dollars and get around 12-15 pearls per bracelet.

You could look at mini seed beads - certainly I've seen quite a few that would work well for cabochoned gems.

I had luck with nail art gems. I got them Etsy, but you might be able to check out a beauty supply store locally, or even a nail salon if you just needed a few. If you have a friend or family member who gets their nails done regularly, maybe ask them to ask for you since they have contact already.

I believe this is the one I bought: www.amazon.com/350Buy-Rhinestones-Nailart-Manicure-Wheels/dp/B005BF1M10I also recommend picking up a few Swarovski gems--they sparkle like the real thing and add a lot. They aren't cheap. The small ones aren't going to break the bank but the challenge is that you usually have to buy each color seperately. If you have a Michael's or Hobby Lobby nearby, I recommend looking into these. And I definitely trust you will post some pics once you have something you like!

This is driving me crazy, where did he get those tiny gems in the treasure chest video??? AHHH!!! He's got a box full of tiny perfect little gemstones, not rhinestones with a flat edge. (these things matter to me.)

I had those tiny gems on my ' I need this!'-list forever, and already have some crystals, but I just caved in and loved me some five thousand little gems...
