Yes I'm late in posting this. My friend wanted me to run Cragmaw for his kids so I whipped this up over two days. It's actually to scale, however the only thing I did different was to make the passageways wider. (so I can use them for my other build. Double duty). I left out the rubble piles, cots, fire pit, crates, bags, and the rock that the wolves are chained to. Just wanted to post these pics if anyone was interested. There are some bloody awesome Cragmaws out there. Anyhoo..... thumbnails a few posts below. s927.photobucket.com/user/vooooodooooo/library/Cragmaw?sort=3&page=1

Fantastic build. I like the use of stacked tiles to make the different levels, and that bridge is really effective. You should post some of these photos in this thread. They're just too cool to hide.

Nice. Are this Cork tiles? Look like dm Scotty new dungeon system only as caves. :-)

Nice. Are this Cork tiles? Look like dm Scotty new dungeon system only as caves. :-) Made out of double thick cardboard built up in layers to give some depth for the stairs, bridge and the pools of water. based with black spray paint and a blast of textured spray paint. Yeah the pics make it look like cork. At the table it's more of a rocky look.

That Cragmaw cave is awesome. I would have loved to play on something like that when we ran though it.

For the water, a coat of gloss and a very light white drybrush (Just the peaks of the flow) would make it pop a whole lot more.

yeah i was also thinking the water would need a dry brush of white to add some edges of the waves.

Great looking photos. They look better then they did on Photobucket. Some beautiful painting on that bridge.

Sotf and dnd pally, yes I will add some white/highlights to the water and some gloss. (I ran out of gloss and got lazy with painting). Thanks again for all the comments. Cheers!

Great looking photos. They look better then they did on Photobucket. Some beautiful painting on that bridge. The bridge is made of stir sticks from the dollar store, glued to a strip of card stock, black bombed, dry brushed with cinnimin color and dry brushed with a medium grey.

I agree with michka, the bridge is superbly painted. Once you get the white highlights on the water, along with a gloss clear coat, the water should look fantastic as well. Very nice work -- thanks for sharing! Cheers!

This really is superbly done! I can't believe you did this in just two days. It would have taken me at least a week. Gotta love those gaming deadlines. It is also very interesting to see no walls, just the tile floors in a 2.5D style. I think it actually works quite well. The bridge is fantastically painted too. It looks old and worn...I would let the paladin in the group go first Very well done! I give it a 9. A little white on the water and this would be a solid 10!

It was a fairly easy build. I printed out a map of cragmaw using rasterbater (sp?), cut out the large map pieces, laid them on the cardboard, traced, cut, cut extras for the layered sections, hot glue all over the edges (except where the pieces meet, did the water effect, black bombed, painted the blue water, let dry, taped water areas with painters tape and bombed it with texture paint. I'm going to add the white and the gloss to the water effects in about four days. I'll post a few pics when I finish. Cheers!

Wow! Out... Of... The... Park! I suspect that the real thing looks even better than the photo's -- and that is saying something. Be proud, because your build is LOUD! (It's fantastic!) Cheers!

The first pic captures it right away. I noticed it and I can only imagine how cool it looks in real life. Good job.
