Hello everyone. My name is Jeremy and I'm new to the forum, but a long time active poster on the DM Scotty facebook group. I just launched a new crafting/tutorial channel called Black Magic Craft so I figured this was the perfect time to finally start posting on this board. The first two episodes are already up, and I hope to be bringing new episodes really quickly. Hope you guys enjoy, I'll be trying my best to bring some new and interesting ideas to the table as the masters have already covered so much content. I've also started a Black Magic Craft Facebook page where I will be frequently posting progress shots of various projects. Cheers Jeremy

This is also very cheep to make. You can get the styro from construction sites, people you may know might work in or around the construction sites and if you go to your local hardware store they sometimes have remnants they will just give to you. AAAAAnd if you actually bought some pieces they won't break the bank. Thanks for sharing. Subbed!

Very good tutorial. Lots of good ideas in here.
I do like your ideas about using negative space as the "wall". On thing though, how would you show, say, an off shooting corridor from the corridor you are laying down without showing the whole new corridor? Have you made some more, smaller entrances to accommodate tunnels?

Have you made some more, smaller entrances to accommodate tunnels? What perfect timing for this question! Just uploaded episode 03 which covers exactly this. Thanks for all the positive feedback and support guys.

Might work better to use the fat craft sticks or the biscuits used in making certain joints for woodworking (Those things are dirt cheap and hard to break) for basing them.

Just posted episode 04. A nice easy, and classic project...Treasure Piles!

I like the ideas of using nailpolish as protective layer and tape on the bottom. I mand a number of treasure piles (including a giant dragon hoard), but those two things were new to me.

Yea, cool thing with crafting is that even with basic projects there are constantly new ideas and techniques to try out. I also use paper minis as you can see in my vids, and base them the same way so the tape on the bottom is really important as they see a lot of use. I personally use Gaffer tape because its soft and really easy to rip and I always have it on hand because I'm also a musician. But it's not something easy for everyone to find, and kind of expensive so some black duct tape would probably work just fine.

Love the water effects video. Just starting to get into building with styro and this answered some questions for me. Thanks for the great vids! On to the next!

Really excited about Episode 06! First trial of including a template with the video project. Plan do do more in the future with increasing complexity.

New episode is up! I'm really happy with the way this project turned out. I also think I'm really getting the hang of this video thing.
