fatdragongames.proboards.com/thread/1953/shrine-blibdoolpoolpDisclaimer: I had nothing to do with this crafting, but I thought I'd share the link as I found the whole rather impressive. I really liked what he did to craft the statue of Blibby, herself. Aside from her, the whole thread is full of eye-candy goodness -- well worth sharing as inspiration. Cheers!

I've though of doing similar things using a barbie and a rubber snake.
That almost looks like a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh... just saying. Wrong scale though.

That was a cool build. Funny thing, though, reading posts from people who have never seen this site. The poster had brought to everyone's attention about a leaning pillar and he wasn't sure what to do about it. Immediately I had two ideas of what he should do to fix the problem (either a washer on the base or the hot glue path). It seems easy to me, and to others, I am sure, and then it occurred to me how much I have learned from this forum, you crafters and all the vids from DM Scotty and The DMG, Dodobot, Wyloch and others.
The poster also was trying to figure out how to make the arms of the doll raised. Most of you would have the quick and easy answer, the dremel. It's amazing what you pick up while hanging out in here.

I agree, ogrestamp. I saw several things I would have done a little differently, all because of the many things I've learned hanging out here, watching everybody's videos, and reading all of the highly skillful postings, and photo's posted here. It is times like this when I realize just how much I have learned from this site. I am still continuing to learn from this site, and its members. I love this place! Cheers!

It is times like this when I realize just how much I have learned from this site. I am still continuing to learn from this site, and its members. I love this place! Cheers! Apart from learning a whole bunch of skills, getting tons of awesome ideas for crafting and having countless hours of entertainment, what I loved most getting from our community is that I acquired kind of a 'can do' - attitude: Before joining, had I seen most of the projects here, I would have been awed by so much creativity and skill. I'm not saying that I'm now a wellspring of creativity and skill (heck many of the things I make are copied/inspired by others!), but nowadays, seeing a cool crafting project, I immediately enter a 'how could I build that and what would I do different?"-mode. And boay does that make you feel good!

Since we play in a Skyrim based setting, I think my next big project will be an (abandoned?) Temple to Nocturnal, the Daedric Princes of shadow.
This is very inspiring work.
