So, I'm running a Hulks and Horrors game (a lot of fun) and I need some doors. The future trope is, in large part, much more uniform and standardized than fantasy, so I wanted my doors to look alike. First I made the disk of Sculpey and I baked it hard. Then I added the bottom track out of Sculpey and baked it again. Lastly, I added the grey details using epoxy putty. Those hardened overnight. The door has a little "whimsy" to it, as is befitting the H&H game. I put some cheap dollar store play-doh in a pyrex dish. I like the play-doh because it doesn't stick as much to mold, like regular clay does (ugh!) and if it does, just wait, it dries up and peels off. 4 cans/different colors for $1. This is what you need to mix the Oomoo. Here's the mold. In 6 hours it will be ready. Now all I need is dental plaster...

It turned out great! I would like to offer one small piece of advice as far as the mold making goes, and I say this because I want to see you do more stuff. You could get away with using one quarter of the amount of RTV to make the molds. Smooth On products are expensive, and I would like to see you get more out of it. All you need to do is make a container a little bigger than the thing you are molding. Legos work great for this. Build a little four wall square, and put the playdough in the bottom. When you pour the RTV, covering the object a 1/4" will suffice. You will be able to make tons more molds with the Oomoo kit. Again, Awesome job!

I will bust out the legos for my "square" door. I think I'm getting addicted to molding, so you don't need to worry. I'll be buying more Oomoo.

Here's my latest airlock door. I'm making a mold of it right now. I'm pretty happy with this. It looks a little more reinforced. The "blob" on the upper left is meant to be a camera or laser on an eyeball mount. I'm pretty happy with the control pad.

Very cool, it makes me want to get out my mold making gear and dust it off.. last time I used it was for gnomes, and that was a while ago. But yeah, I have a need for dungeon doors for all the modular terrain I have been making.

Is there anything you won't do? Very cool doors! They fit the overall feel of the game! I have got to get into casting one of these days! So much to do so little time!
